The announcement just came out naming the performers at this winter’s Art Shanty Projects, the village of artist-built ice fishing houses that will be erected on White Bear Lake in February.
The performers at the frozen festival include an interactive create-a-play-on-a-bus show, a flamenco dance performance, an ArtCar and ArtBike parade, winter plein air painting and the Snowblower Ballet!
Our part of the Art Shanty Projects will be a preview version of an even bigger Snowblower Ballet — men, machines and flying snow! — that we’re planning at the end of January 2018 on Harriet Island in St. Paul.
We’ve also gotten news that Springboard for the Arts, a St. Paul nonprofit arts service organization, has approved the Snowblower Ballet as one of their sponsored projects. That means you can make donations to our project through Springboard and contributions will be tax deductible!
We’ll have a fundraising page set up soon on GiveMN.org.
